Waste handling is one of those topics in care that nobody talks about out loud, yet every carer and client deals with it daily. A poorly designed process means an unpleasant environment, a higher risk of infection and needlessly spent working hours. That is why we cover this area comprehensively – the whole cycle from direct bed hygiene through the disposal of aids to their storage.

We have chosen a trio of partners, each at the technological forefront of its segment. The Italian brand AT-OS supplies professional bedpan washers certified to EN 15883, the Vacura vacuum system cuts the volume of incontinence waste by up to half, and the Dutch brand OdoCare solves its hygienic storage without spreading odour. Together they form a solution that saves staff time, returns dignity to clients and lowers a facility’s operating costs.

A bed, mattress, furniture, nurse call, walls and textiles – the everyday life of a client and the working environment of staff are made of these seemingly ordinary elements. An investment in quality room equipment pays back in long service life, in a lower risk of complications (typically pressure ulcers or falls) and in comfort that is absolutely essential in long-term care. That is why we devote the broadest part of our portfolio to this category.

In every subgroup we work with a manufacturer regarded as the leader in its specialisation. Beds come from Germany’s FMB, help with standing up is solved by the Rotadorm bed range, premium active anti-decubitus mattresses by the Swedish maker Care of Sweden and foam mattresses by Funke Medical, the advanced NurseCare call system by Caretronic, radar fall detection by Israel’s Vayyar Care, bed linen by the traditional maker Zollner, screens by Parflex and wall protection by Acramit. Every piece has hundreds of hours of development behind it – and thousands of hours of real operation.

Hygiene and client transfer are among the most physically demanding tasks in care. For carers, handling an immobile client is the main cause of back pain and early departures from the profession; for the client, a bath can be one of the few pleasant moments of the day – or a stress they fear. We therefore see this category as key: we want to give facilities the tools that keep both sides safe and both sides comfortable.

In the bathing programme we work with the French manufacturer Reval, whose range of bathing beds, chairs, shower panels and mobile shower systems ranks among Europe’s best. We complement it with ergonomic baths, the Nefti and Crystal shower trolleys and the unique JoyInCare lifts with assisted drive. For the handling itself we also offer the passive HAPO exoskeletons by the French company Ergosanté, which relieve carers’ backs and shoulders throughout the shift – and demonstrably reduce the risk of musculoskeletal problems.

Medical technology is the technical foundation of every care facility. Without precise scales you cannot dose medication correctly, without quality sterilisation you cannot treat a patient safely, without an oxygen concentrator you cannot manage respiratory care at home. We focus on this category because this is exactly where the customer cannot afford a compromise. Every device we offer must meet two conditions: a long service life and immediately available service.

We picked suppliers with a proven tradition – Germany’s Seca in scales, Italy’s CBM in sterilisation, Italy’s Moretti for walkers, wheelchairs and everyday diagnostic devices, the Czech GCE in medical gases, Germany’s Transatlantic for rollboards and Italy’s Flaem in inhalation and suction technology. To these we add more specialised equipment: UV-C purifiers by INB Korea and the Canadian SafeCrush electric pill crusher. The category covers a wide range of needs, from infant scales to advanced inhalation therapy.

Even the best bed remains just metal and textile if staff do not have quality consumables for the client’s daily hygiene at hand. Foam, cream, wash glove, gloves – this is what real care decides on every day. We therefore give this category the same attention as big technology investments: we offer our own DERMAWED line, where we stood at the development of the products and are 100% sure of their quality.
