Stamed s.r.o. has successfully completed a major project focused on modernising the bed equipment at the Home for People with Disabilities (DOZP) in Horní Bříza. We supplied this state-funded organisation with a comprehensive solution that fundamentally improves client safety and eases the demanding daily care provided by the staff.
The mission of DOZP Horní Bříza is to provide round-the-clock residential social care for adults and seniors with disabilities who, due to their age, social situation and state of health, can no longer live independently in their natural environment. The organisation provides two key residential social services – a home for people with disabilities and a respite service. Given the specific needs of clients whose situation requires permanent assistance from another person, the main goal of the project was to minimise the risks associated with falls from bed and to ensure the greatest possible comfort.
Top-tier equipment tailored to clients' needs
During the implementation we focused not only on uncompromising functionality and health benefits, but also on the aesthetic side, which helps create a cosy, homely environment.
Special UltraLow beds: These beds stand out thanks to their ability to lower the sleeping surface extremely close to the floor, effectively minimising the risk and consequences of any falls. The elegant and warm Kashmir décor was chosen.
Unique side rails: Each bed was fitted with a system of split side rails (4 per bed), which give clients reliable support and safety while also supporting their independence when getting up.
Hyper Foam 2 CLINIC GREENLINE mattresses: These high-quality anti-decubitus mattresses ensure optimal pressure distribution, act as prevention against pressure sores and guarantee high comfort even during long-term bed rest.
How the project was carried out
The project was delivered in several consecutive steps:
- 1 Analysis of the needs of individual rooms and clients
- 2 Design of the bed and accessory configuration
- 3 Gradual replacement without disrupting the home's operation
- 4 Training of the care staff in operation and maintenance
Meaningful help where it is needed most
We are extremely proud that our products can help in facilities such as DOZP Horní Bříza.
